"Take One Action's focus on empowering local audiences to engage through film with global and environmental injustice is unique in the UK. This work is really, really important."

Yes Men director to attend festival

Cultural activist, film director and one half of the Yes Men Mike Bonanno in Q&A
We are delighted to announce that director Mike Bonanno will be in Q&A after The Yes Men Fix the World, his new film which sees him and partner Andy Bichlbaum hilariously taking on the corporate fat cats whose habits are creating financial and environmental disaster around the world.
Mike started “culture jamming” against US shopping mall culture by dragging screaming friends around in shopping bags, and quickly moved on to organising a mass switch of Barbie and Action Man doll voice boxes in toy stores across America, before joining the Yes Men and setting his sights on the people who make the global rules maintaining economic injustice.
You can read Mike in conversation with Take One Action’s Simon Bateson here, or join us on Friday 25th September (Filmhouse, 8.45pm) for the film and Q&A.
