Tanya advises trustees with regard to youth programming, and co-chairs Take One Action’s youth development group. She is the Youth Development Manager for The British Red Cross in Scotland and Northern Ireland, resourcing curriculum learning and developing events that support the Red Cross’ local and international health advocacy objectives. She also has extensive professional experience of co-ordinating community and volunteer-led programmes, notably with Sustrans Scotland, the sustainable transport voluntary organisation, and BCTV, empowering young people to play an active role in conservation.
