About

“Whatever you can do or dream you can do, begin it. boldness has genius and power and magic in it” JW Goethe

Actively seeking change can take many forms, but it can also be fun, sustainable and hugely rewarding. These informative and empowering free workshops will give you the confidence and encouragement to make a real difference.

Are you new to the idea or practice of campaigning? Or do you need refreshing and inspiring to get back in the saddle and give time more effectively to the things you care about?

Grow your skills and inspiration; hear from other ordinary campaigners and get to grips with the building blocks of developing an effective campaign.

Facilitated by Take One Action Artistic Director Simon Bateson. As well as being an avid film fan, Simon has more than a decade’s experience implementing campaigns with organisations including The World Development Movement (now known as Global Justice Now) and Christian Aid, from grassroots mobilisation to parliamentary lobbying.

As part of the To Paris and Beyond weekend of climate-related events, the workshop will include a session dedicated to climate campaigning, delivered by WWF Scotland.

"If you have come to help me you are wasting your time, but if you are here because your liberation is bound up with mine, then come, let us walk together."
