Tar Sands
In recent years, oil companies have increasingly invested in the extraction of oil from 'toxic' unconventional fuels, such as tar sands and shale oil. The extraction of these fuels produces significantly higher CO2 emissions compared to 'conventional fuels' – some processes emitting up to eight times more CO2. By releasing the Toxic Fuels Trilogy of films (Dirty Oil, Petropolis, H2Oil) we intend to raise awareness of this issue.
