"Take One Action's focus on empowering local audiences to engage through film with global and environmental injustice is unique in the UK. This work is really, really important."

Organisation Profile | SCIAF
SCIAF, the Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund, is the official aid and development agency of the Catholic Church in Scotland, working in 16 countries across Africa, Asia and Latin America to support the poorest people.
- We support long-term development work, focusing on three main issues: helping people to grow food and make a living; rebuilding lives that have been shattered by war; reducing the spread of HIV/AIDS and caring for people who have been affected by the virus.
- We respond to emergencies: When disaster strikes, we work with local partners to get help to those who need it – fast.
- We campaign to challenge the causes of poverty: With the support of thousands of people across Scotland, we campaign for a fairer share of the world’s resources for those whose voices are not heard.
Partner location: Scotland-wide, Glasgow
Over 20,000 people across Scotland already take action with SCIAF to campaign against the issues that create and maintain poverty, from climate change to violence against women. Add your voice and get involved. Just get in touch...

UK General Election Think the Prime Minister’s got a lot on his plate? People living in poverty deal with climate change, unfair trade and conflict every day. Poverty is political, and this means we can change it. Join our campaign to keep poverty on the political agenda. We want the next prime minister, whoever he is, to deliver 3 key things:
- At least 0.7% of national income on effective aid by 2013
- Trade deals that work for the poor
- Emissions cuts of at least 40% by 2020 and additional finance to help the poorest survive climate change.
