Since 2008, Take One Action Film Festivals have engaged over 50,000 people with hundreds of world-class films, showcasing inspiring stories that comment on issues of global concern.

Our events bring together communities, filmmakers, politicians, businesses, academics and artists – united by the simple desire to connect around common stories and shape their unfolding for the greater good.

To help you explore your connection to the stories on screen, our screenings and events provide opportunities for audience interaction – fun, empowering and gentle. Whether you’ve been socially active before or not, we hope these will sustain and inspire you.

Our festivals take place annually in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Inverness. You can also organise your own!
