We now seek groups and individuals who want to help inspire change in their communities through the medium of powerful, global cinema.

Help to Shine A Light

The annual Take One Action Film Festival is a curated collection of excellent films that we think are entertaining, inspiring and democratically themed. These are films which bring the world to our doorsteps without the carbon footprint. They encourage self-reflection, shine the light on important issues, and have the potential to change lives.

With our Film Clubs, Take One Action will support other groups to plan regular screenings of films on a wide variety of global themes, within their own community.

If you want to show inspiring films to your school, church, office or other community group on a regular basis, then our Take One Action Film Clubs could be for you.

The most important things you need are to have sympathy with our aims, a potential regular audience (of any age group/s), a few hours a month and a small budget. We can support you to access a fantastic range of films from our catalogue, to market your film club and its activities, and to empower your attendees.

Organising a Take One Action Film Club can be fun, thought provoking, community building and world-changing.

Take One Action Festival Pass

If you run, or want to run, a local film club, the Take One Action Festival Pass is a great way to start.

The Take One Action Film Festival is the UK’s leading global citizenship film festival, led by film lovers, artists and globally-concerned citizens based in Scotland who believe that cinematic experiences can inspire lasting change. This year’s Take One Action Film Festival runs from 19 September to 04 October 2014 in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

As part of the Take One Action Film Festival, we’re offering special events for people who want to find out more about our festival and film clubs.

At our Take One Action Festival Pass events you can find out about Take One Action and see how you can organise Film Clubs. You’ll meet filmmakers and changemakers, see exclusive short films, hear live music, and come away ready to change the world with Take One Action.
