We are so excited to be launching a brand new resource for all you film lovers and changemakers.
The new Take One Action Global Change Film Directory provides instant access to hundreds of brilliant films exploring global change from a wide range of key social and environmental justice perspectives, from womenβs empowerment to climate change, from the role of arts and media in social change to food sustainability.
The directory reflects ten years of celebrating the films and the people that are changing the world – and the list will keep growing: over the coming weeks, the directory will swell with an ever wider selection of titles, thanks to additional input from a range of new and long-term partners (such as the Bertha Foundation, Christian Aid, Oxfam, the Scottish Documentary Institute…), friends and supporters (incl. fellow Scotland-based film festivals Africa in Motion, SQIFF, Cinema Attic…).
We’ve worked hard to make this as resourceful, accessible and inspiring as we can – so go ahead, give it a browse! You can search the 400+ short and feature film titles on offer (many of which are available to watch for free) by geographical focus, topic, genre, age suitability… or concentrate on films that are subtitled or captioned.
Keen to go beyond the screen? To help you identify your next steps, each film entry connects you to organisations and campaigns actively working towards a better world – starting from Scotland.
Over the next year, we’ll be highlighting one short film every week for you to enjoy and share – subscribe to our social media channels and look out for #TOAShorts.
Happy browsing!
The Take One Action team
With huge thanks to The Space for commissioning this new directory, and to Pooka & Co for making it a reality.
