Global Justice Edinburgh

Global Justice Edinburgh are the Edinburgh group of Global Justice Now – a democratic social justice organisation working as part of a global movement to challenge the powerful and create a more just and equal world. They believe that a better world is possible: a world where our resources and decisions about how they’re used lie in the hands of the many, not the few; a world where resources are available to all, not just to those who can afford them.

GJN mobilise people in the UK for change, and act in solidarity with those fighting injustice, particularly in the global south.

It aims to support Malaysian civil society’s efforts to strengthen Malaysia’s maturing democracy using peaceful and legal means of action. Stop TTIP Edinburgh

To campaign against TTIP, and the alphabet soup of similar deals such as CETA and TISA.

These deals will effect our democratic right to decide how our public services such as health and education are organised; to decide the minimum wage; worker and environmental protections etc. They also aim to protect the profits of the foreign corporations over everything else, in secret, opaque tribunals.

New Internationalist

New Internationalist is for people seeking an independent, intelligent and international perspective. Our magazine explores current global issues with thought, depth and insight, to give you the complete picture. We exist to report on issues of world poverty and inequality; to focus attention on the unjust relationship between the powerful and the powerless worldwide; to debate and campaign for the radical changes necessary to meet the basic needs of all; and to bring to life the people, the ideas and the action in the fight for global justice.

Scottish Youth Parliament

The Scottish Youth Parliament is the democratically elected voice of Scotland’s young people. We are a young people’s parliament, designed by young people and led by young people for the benefit of young people. We are committed to ensuring young people are heard by the decision makers of Scotland and we are determined to campaign on the issues which matter most to Scotland’s young people.

Jubilee Scotland

Jubilee Scotland is a coalition of faith groups, charities, unions and other civil society groups who campaign together, and as part of the international debt movement, for the total and unconditional cancellation of all unjust and unpayable poor country debt.

We believe that poverty is an artificial and not a natural state. It is perpetuated by institutions such as debt, and dismantling such institutions is necessary to create a more equal world. We have been part of many campaign victories in the past and look forward to being involved in many more.
