Refugee Community Kitchen

Refugee Community Kitchen serves nourishing food to displaced people in the UK and northern France. Entirely volunteer-run and donation-based, we are committed to serving wholesome food with dignity and respect to people in need.

Not only does Refugee Community Kitchen keep people highly nourished but we are also providing a moment in the day where people can gather and connect. Our food distributions recreate a sense of community and provide a safe space for medical and legal services, safeguarding groups and other support.

Kinning Park Complex

Kinning Park Complex is an independent multi-use community centre. Run by the community since they had to step in to prevent closure of the facility by the local Council in 1996. We maintain and rent out halls, meeting rooms, studios and office spaces at affordable prices where people and groups can put their ideas into action. We also manage community development projects in the local area.

SCORE Scotland

SCOREscotland is committed to social justice and equal opportunities for all by providing a service that is accessible and inclusive. Taking a partnership approach, we support and empower those who are disadvantaged and discriminated against. We recognise that a united community is the backbone of a cohesive and harmonious society and thus we strive to “put the unity back into community”.

Küche

A multicultural kitchen for all.

Social venture Küche uses a socially engaged food practice to create food-led events in collaboration with multi-cultural chefs. Its mission is to promote integration, overcome social isolation and celebrate marginalised cuisines.

All their events have been designed to celebrate minority cuisines, tell collective and individual stories, provoke discussion on a variety of social issues and experiment with food products, recipes and tastes while creating sustainable outcomes for refugee and other multicultural cooks.

Refugee Survival Trust

The Refugee Survival Trust is a charity that provides grants to asylum claimants and refugees living in Scotland. It was set up in 1996 by a number of concerned individuals as a reaction to the problem of refugees and asylum claimants being made destitute in Scotland. Grants made by RST either alleviate poverty and destitution, or help refugees and asylum claimants to overcome obstacles in accessing educational and employment opportunities.

United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees

We work to ensure that everybody has the right to seek asylum and find safe refuge, having fled violence, persecution, war or disaster at home.

Since 1950, we have faced multiple crises on multiple continents, and provided vital assistance to refugees, asylum-seekers, internally displaced and stateless people, many of whom have nobody left to turn to.
We help to save lives and build better futures for millions forced from home.

LIVED

LIVED as an organization is committed to making visible, communicating and mobilizing support for the lived experiences of school-aged children in different contexts of displacement. LIVED aims to achieve this through the participatory production of documentary films and through the delivery of film-making workshops to displaced adolescents in each context.
