Beyond the Review: Writing Meaningful Reflections on Film
Often perceived as an objective marker of quality, film criticism is increasingly engaging with the personal and the political. Led by gal-dem’s First Person editor, film critic and author Katie Goh, Beyond the Review: Writing Meaningful Reflections on Film will explore the ways in which personal writing and film criticism can meet. In the workshop, participants will learn about different approaches to writing about film, share their own perspectives and develop critical writing skills, leaving the sessions empowered and ready to share their own reflections. All experience levels welcome!
