Do you ever find yourself at a loss for words when faced with problematic statements? Do you feel unprepared to engage in discussions about Zionism?

Join Sumud and Take One Action for an evening of food sharing and a workshop on ‘Having Difficult Conversations’ to gain skills and tools to challenge Zionist and racist narratives.

During this event, participants will delve into practical strategies aimed at fostering space for challenging yet constructive conversations. Learn how to actively listen and critically question – both essential skills for engaging in meaningful discourse. Discover the power of storytelling as a tool for navigating difficult conversations, allowing you to effectively communicate your perspective and experiences.

Whether you’re confronting ignorance, prejudice, or misinformation, this workshop will provide invaluable insights and techniques to help you navigate complex discussions with confidence and clarity.

Workshop attendees will be welcomed with home-cooked food provided by Sumud, offering the chance to connect with others in the movement. It will be followed by a space for sharing poetry and personal testimonies.

Booking Information

We are eager to remove financial barriers to our events. To allow us to have a better idea of numbers, we are operating a deposit system, where the £2.50 ticket fee will be returned to attendees after the event. We will also provide the option for this to be donated to Sumud to support the collective to continue holding impactful events on Palestinian solidarity.

We understand that this deposit system will still pose a barrier for some folk – please do get in touch if this is the case and you would like to attend – we’ll sort it.
