Disruption is Fertile: How Ecofeminism is Rooting for Change
Explore the concepts, dynamics and approaches at the heart of ecofeminism in this empowering and inclusive event.
Combining participatory workshops, panel sessions and creative responses, the afternoon will explore some of the many ways in which feminism is re-shaping environmentalism – in its approaches, reach and hopes.
Can feminist approaches influence the way we care – and stand up – for the planet and its inhabitants? How does the environmental movement reflect gender, class and racial dynamics? Does climate chaos call for radical action – and, if so, on whose behalf?
Join campaigners, creative and curious souls to explore some of the key questions at the heart of ecofeminism – and find inspiration and tools for different routes into the growing global climate movement. With guests Mairi McFadyen (Facilitator, Enough! Scotland), Layla-Roxanne Hill (Enough! Scotland), poet Nalini Paul and Ruth Wilkinson (Events and Communications Officer, Global Justice Now).
