Growing Cities investigates what is driving this change: through interviews with budding and experienced small-scale farmers in cities across the United States, this uplifting documentary captures a growing movement that is transforming our parks, backyards, vacant lots and even rooftops.
Supported by archive footage and an insightful historical perspective on the economic value of small-scale agriculture, this documentary takes in a remarkable array of gardening projects, in cities as varied as Detroit, New York and New Orleans, proving that the desire to grow your own food – and the benefits involved in doing so – knows no barriers.
