Happyend (Inverness)

Set in a dystopian near-future Tokyo, Neo Sora’s striking feature explores a group of teenagers rebelling against societal expectations.
The film offers a vivid coming-of-age portrait, following best friends Yuta and Kou as they confront a world where AI surveillance is tightening under the yoke of oppressive authoritarianism.
CONTENT NOTES: Discussions of racism and police brutality. Depictions of racial profiling, racism and police coercion.

Beyond the Screen
Jules Lacave-Fontourcy, director of A Different Home, will be in conversation with Millie, one of the Eden Court Youth Board members, to further discuss the ideas presented in their film, and how those issues relate to young people living in the Highlands and surrounding areas.
Booking Information
To make our events more accessible, we operate a sliding scale ticket policy (thanks to SQIFF for leading the way) across all our venues. Choose what to pay based on your personal circumstances, from £0-20. All we ask is that you are honest with us so that we can continue offering this flexibility to those who need it most. When you pay a higher price for a ticket, you help subsidise a ticket for somebody on a lower income.
