In My Blood It Runs: Q&A

All Equal? Close Up Youth Programme

20 September 2020 | 8:30pm - 9:15pm

Closed Captions

In My Blood it Runs is a critically acclaimed documentary exposing Australia’s systemic racism, told through the eyes of charismatic 10-year-old Arrernte/Garrwa boy, Dujuan and his family. An intimate story of struggle, strength and love.

We will be hosting a conversation with Director Maya Newell, Producer Rachel Naninaaq Edwardson and Arrernte Elder and Film Advisor William Tilmouth to explore the (neo)colonialism of the education system and authorities in Australia and the UK, and how we can challenge it.
This Q&A will have captions for D/deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences. Please contact access@takeoneaction.org.uk with any questions about access for this event.
PLEASE NOTE: This Q&A has been prerecorded, but we will be live-tweeting along on Sunday 20 Sept at 8.30pm. Join the conversation by following us @takeoneaction.
