The Mushroom Speaks – Glasgow
Film Synopsis: The Mushroom Speaks
An enchanting exploration of what mushrooms can teach us about being in the world: in solidarity, adaptability, and ways of imagining otherwise.
What does it mean to think radically through networks, through mycelium, through enmeshed and attuned connectivity with the more-than-human world? What can we learn from mushrooms’ resilience and adaptability, and their worldmaking power even amidst devastation? Narrated by a silent mushroom, this wondrous documentary in conversation with scientists, mycologists, foragers and mushroom lovers is an optimistic experiment in relating to each other and the world around us differently – and finding hope and possibility even in the ruins.

Booking Information
To make our events more accessible, we operate a sliding scale ticket policy (thanks to SQIFF for leading the way) across all our venues and online. Choose what to pay based on your personal circumstances, from £0-10. All we ask is that you are honest with us so that we can continue offering this flexibility to those who need it most. When you pay a higher price for a ticket, you help subsidise a ticket for somebody on a lower income.
