For the last three years, Tomas and his family have been sponsoring Josephine – a little girl living in Uganda. However, like many donors around the world they have doubts about the process: is the money reaching Josephine and how effectively is it being spent? Is this relationship making a real difference to her life or just making them feel good?
To find out, Tomas and his small daughter, who is just a few months older than Josephine, travel from their middle class home in the UK to Uganda to explore what the sponsorship means to them and to the child they are supporting.
