Through a day-long festival of workshops, performances, local food, inspirational speakers and action, we aim to bring together and engage young people who have skills to share and learn from each other about promoting social change.

The overall aim of the festival is to highlight how young people can make the changes they want to see in the world.

ActionAid is a leading international charity working in over 45 countries. We work with the poorest women and children in the world, changing their lives for good.

Our local staff provide immediate, hands-on support to women and children living on the margins of survival.

Together we demand action at local, national and international level. We don’t walk away until we’ve achieved lasting change.

Grassmarket Community Project has been developed in partnership by Greyfriars Kirk (Church of Scotland) and the Grassmarket Mission.
Grassmarket Community Project takes an innovative approach to creating community and providing sanctuary and support to participants, many of whom are amongst the most vulnerable of our citizens. Through mentoring, social enterprise, training and education in a nurturing environment, the Project develops skills which enable participants to develop to their full potential and move away from cycles of failure.
