After the earthquake in Haiti, many communities were plunged even further in to poverty. In the Cité Soleil neighbourhood in Haiti’s capital Port-au-Prince, a micro-garden movement was established in an effort to combat post-earthquake hunger and despair.
The movement, which involved citizens working together to grow food, was hugely successful and helped to inspire the local families and restore the residents’ pride in their neighbourhood. This short film follows the projects and meets the residents who are taking part.
