A gripping story of defiance, filmed over three eventful years in the life of an inspiring young woman who refuses to compromise her integrity or her dreams.

Thulasi is a Dalit or “untouchable”. Born outside of caste, she ran away from home aged 14 to escape forced marriage. Now a promising boxer in her early twenties, she continues to defy society’s expectations in and outside the ring.

Despite her talent, focus and determination, Thulasi has been denied the opportunities she deserves. She punches well above her “light-fly” weight, battling poverty, corruption, sexual harassment and the pressure to marry, to win the right to define her path.
