When Hurricane Matthew hit Haiti in 2016, more than fifty people took shelter in Vilia’s home as their own houses were completely destroyed. It was thanks to Christian Aid that Vilia’s home, given to her by the charity after she lost everything in the 2010 earthquake, was built to withstand earthquakes and hurricanes.
This campaign film for Christian Aid Week follows Vilia’s story and shows the need to practical support in fighting global poverty.
