In a village where there’s no electricity, water, or any types of public services, a young woman called Yesterday lives her life next to her seven-year-old daughter, Beauty, and prays everyday for a great future for her beloved daughter.
After falling ill, Yesterday learns that she is HIV positive. With her husband in denial and young daughter to tend to, Yesterday’s one goal is to live long enough to see her child go to school.
In a situation where rage, ignorance and denial could easily rage, Yesterday is a young woman who accepts her fate but refuses to allow it to control her life, living instead with hope, love and determination.
