Abriachan is a scattered rural community of about 130 people set high above the shores of Loch Ness in the Highlands of Scotland. Abriachan Forest Trust manages 540 hectares of forest to create local employment, improve the environment and encourage it’s enjoyment by the public.
Highland Environmental Network (HEN) works to coordinate and enable the sharing of information, expertise, education and action on the environment and sustainability in the Highlands of Scotland.
We do this by
– promoting environmental education, in its widest sense, in all sectors of the community within the Highlands
– sharing environmental information and expertise
– encouraging the involvement of individuals and community groups in environmental debate and action
Become a HEN member. It is free because HEN is all about building a strong network that can share valuable environmental information and skills. Members receive 4 e-newsletters a year, e-bulletins containing environmental news and handy tips, reduced rates for HEN training events and a vote at AGM
